I drew SOLO for the first time in 1997. Since then I have been writing and drawing stories about this character and his particular universe intermittently. SOLO is a post apocalyptic setting series. In that devastated universe there are no resources and the only way to survive is to eat another living being, with the particularity that there are no herbivores, only carnivores, in such a way that the encounters are inevitably bloody and more considering that almost all of them go armed and, above all, they are always hungry. So we can read in one of its episodes something like: "We are not heroes or cowards, neither victims nor executioners, only souls who will never know the reason for their existence. We are only meat that kills to live, we are meat that dies to give life ”.
Currently ONLY it is translated into nine languages and over the years other illustrations have been added to the covers of each book that have occasionally been published in different countries without there being an edition that collects them all in the same book. Up to now. In this book we can see: Covers, back covers, bookplates, commissions, illustrations made for pleasure and multiple study and development sketches. All this work complements, enriches and shows us a catalog of unimaginable characters and creatures that are added to the hundreds of pages drawn to give life to SOLO and make us understand the “Cannibal Universe”.

Dibujé por primera vez a SOLO en 1997. Desde entonces he ido escribiendo y dibujando historias de este personaje y su particular universo de manera intermitente. SOLO es una serie de ambientación post apocalíptica. En ese universo devastado no hay recursos y la única forma de subsistir es comerse a otro ser vivo, con la particularidad de que no hay herbívoros, solo carnívoros, de tal modo que los encuentros son inevitablemente sangrientos y más teniendo en cuenta que casi todos van armados y, sobre todo, siempre están hambrientos. Así podemos leer en uno de sus episodios algo como: ”No somos héroes ni cobardes, ni víctimas ni verdugos, solo almas que nunca sabrán el por qué de su existencia. Solo somos carne que mata para vivir, somos carne que muere para dar vida”.
Actualmente SOLO se traduce a nueve idiomas y a lo largo de los años se han ido sumando a las portadas de cada libro otras ilustraciones que puntualmente se han publicado en diferentes países sin que exista una edición que las recopile todas en un mismo libro. Hasta ahora. En este libro podemos ver: Portadas, contraportadas, exlibris, commissions, ilustraciones hechas por placer y múltiples bocetos de estudio y desarrollo. Todo este trabajo complementa, enriquece y nos muestra un catálogo de personajes y criaturas inimaginables que se suman a las cientos de páginas dibujadas para dar vida a SOLO y nos hacen entender el “Universo Caníbal”.
